A Lenoir man is facing several felony drug charges, including allegedly possessing a controlled substance inside a penal institution.

48-year-old Christopher Eugene Shook, of Lenoir, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on penal premises, felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, felony simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shook was given a $7,500 secured bond on the drug-related charges and is being held without bond on the charge of possessing a controlled substance on penal institution premises.
