51-year-old Victor Baine Hartley of Union Grove Road in Lenoir was arrested Monday (February 13) by Probation and Parole Officers. He was charged with two felony counts of probation violation and jailed under a $40,000 secured bond. Hartley remains in jail as of this morning with a Superior Court appearance scheduled for April 3. He was on probation as a result of a conviction in November 2021 and August 2022 in Caldwell County on felony counts of breaking and entering to vehicles and attempted larceny of a motor vehicle. Hartley received probation and a 48-month suspended sentence following the 2021 conviction and probation and a 24-month suspended sentence following the 2022 conviction.
