25-year-old Marcus Allen Whisnant of Bee Mountain Ridge Road in Lenoir was arrested Wednesday (March 1) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with two counts of misdemeanor resisting a public officer, injury to personal property, felony interfering with electronic monitoring device, and parole violation. Whisnant remains in jail as of this morning with a $16,000 secured bond and no bond with a District Court appearance that was scheduled for March 2.

He was on parole as a result of a conviction in Caldwell County in 2020 and 2021 on various charges including possession of a schedule two controlled substance, possession of stolen goods, and speeding to elude arrest.
