Lenoir Man Charged With Meth Possession, Resisting Officer

32-year-old Johnathan Benjamin Penley of Greenwood Terrace in Lenoir was arrested Tuesday (May 25) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. In addition, Penley is charged with failure to appear on counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. Penley was jailed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under $35,000 secured bond. District Court appearances were scheduled today (May 26) and June 30. A Superior Court date is set for July 19.
