44-year-old Christopher Robert Auton of Cedar Run Street in Lenoir was arrested Friday (January 13) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with felony breaking and entering to an automobile, misdemeanor resisting a public officer, common law uttering, larceny, and felony probation violation. Auton remains in jail as of this morning with a $55,500 secured bond and a District Court date scheduled for January 18. A Superior Court date was also scheduled for February 6. Auton was on probation as a result of a conviction in November 2022 for breaking and entering to a vehicle. He received probation and a 24-month suspended sentence.
