41-year-old Marcellus Duwan Elleby of Old North Road in Lenoir was arrested Saturday (April 15) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with four felony failure to appear counts. He reportedly failed to appear in court on three counts of driving a motor vehicle with no registration, three counts of driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with no insurance and failure to wear a seat belt, and displaying a fictitious or altered tag. In addition, Elleby was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in jail as of this morning with a $7,500 secured bond and a District Court appearance scheduled for May 15.
