35-year-old Daniel Ray Kirby of Old Homestead Place in Lenoir was arrested Monday (August 28) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with felony probation violation and felony fleeing to elude arrest. Kirby remains in jail as of this morning under $35,000 secured bond and a District Court date scheduled for September 18. He was on probation as a result of convictions in Caldwell County in September 2022 for felony possession of a firearm by a felon. Kirby received probation and a 24-month suspended sentence. A Superior Court date was scheduled for September 25.
