38-year-old Michael Allan Thompson of Hospital Avenue in Lenoir was arrested Wednesday (April 19) by Probation and Parole Officers. He was charged with felony defrauding a drug or alcohol test and felony probation violation. Thompson was jailed under $25,000 secured bond with a District Court date scheduled for May 15 and a Superior Court appearance scheduled for May 8. He was on probation as a result of conviction in Caldwell County in May 2021 for felony breaking and entering and felony obtaining property by false pretense. Thompson received probation and a 24-month suspended sentence.
