Lenoir Man Arrested in Hickory for Felony Probation Violation

38-year-old Jason Jeffrey Spencer of Firestation Lane in Lenoir was arrested by Hickory Police early last Wednesday morning (November 10) on an outstanding warrant for a felony probation violation. Spencer is on probation as he serves a 12-month suspended sentence following a March 2021 felony conviction in McDowell County for possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Spencer was taken into custody without incident just after 3 a.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex on 4th Street Court S.W. in Hickory. He was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $15,000 secured bond. He is no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today (November 15) in Newton.
