Led By Finan’s Eight Under, LR Men’s Golf Win LR Fall Invitational

Sean Finan wins his first career event as he shot his second straight round under 70 to win the LR Fall Invitational by four strokes over teammate Matthew McDougall. LR also took home their first team event of the year defeating second place Catawba by 36 shots to take him the team title.

McDougall shot a 71 to climb up one spot to finish runner up as McDougall earned his first second place finish. Sam Mace and Mads Emil Boas both finished in 7th place two strokes over par for the tournament as Holt Allison give the Bears all five golfers in the top 10 as Allison finished in a 10th place after firing a 74 on the afternoon.

Sophomore Jake Moore fired a even par to lead the Bears “B” team as Moore finished in 4th place for the event.

The team title is the Bears fifth career title and the -13 overall score is their third best score in their program history. The Bears will now be off until February when they start their spring session.
