Lanes On Highway Shut Down Due To Morning Crash

Troopers are on the scene of a collision that occurred approximately at 7:00 a.m. today (January 10) in Lincoln County. The crash occurred on the southbound side of U.S. 321 near mile marker 21.

An 18-wheeler hauling crushed cars drove off into the median, struck the median guide wire, and overturned onto its left side. Several crushed cars came out of the bed of the truck and came to rest on the northbound side of US 321. Both left lanes on the northbound and southbound sides are shut down.

The right lanes are open, but traffic is moving slowly. The driver was taken by EMS to the hospital with minor injuries. The roadway was expected to be completely open by approximately 10 a.m.
