L-R’s Robb Moves Up Individual Leaderboard at NCAA South Regional

Competing as an individual at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf South Regional, Lenoir-Rhyne senior Megan Robb moved up 11 spots after the second day of the tournament.

The regional is hosted at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla. which is a 5,887 yard par 71 course. Robb teed off at 8 a.m. on the 10th hole and shaved two shots off her score to go from 28th place to 17th. Robb fired a birdie on the 15th hole and shot a +2 on the back nine. Robb added a birdie on hole seven and was +1 on the front nine to finish the day with a 74.

Among individuals, Robb is second just one shot behind Hannah Stephenson of Lander. In total, their are 66 golfers in this regional and six competing as individuals.

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 18 holes. Robb looks to continue climbing the leaderboard and advance to the NCAA Division II Championship next week in Gainesville, Ga. The top two individuals not on qualifying teams will move on and the top five teams advance.
