For the third straight week, a Lenoir-Rhyne pitcher has earned South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week accolades. For the second time this year, Joshua Lanham earned the honor thanks to a dominating performance against Queens on Sunday. In addition, for the second straight week, a Lenoir-Rhyne pitcher has been named NCBWA Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week as Lanham earned the distinction as well.
Lanham, a redshirt freshman right-handed pitcher from Augusta, Ga., struck out a career-high 14 batters in a 6-3 win over Queens in SAC action last week. He allowed just one run, scattered seven hits and did not walk a single batter over seven innings in the win.
On the season, Lanham has 28 strikeouts and just one walk to go with a 0.50 ERA and 2-0 record in his 18 innings pitched.
