L-R Women’s Lacrosse Earns Six All-Conference Team Honors

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Lacrosse Team had six players selected to the All-Conference team as announced by the league.

Senior Cathleen Gaffney and defenders Cassie Lafler and Isabelle Dunnam were named to the All-Conference Second Team. This trio gives Lenoir-Rhyne 17 all-time Second Team All-League performers. Gaffney finished fourth in the conference with 29 assists on the season and owns the Lenoir-Rhyne all-time record for career helpers with 128 in 74 career games. Lafler was an Honorable Mention selection in 2018 but earned second team honors thanks to 18 caused turnovers, 25 ground balls and her first career goal. Dunnam earns her first all-conference award as the junior finished the year with a team-high 25 caused turnovers and 38 ground balls.

Suzy Smith, Frances Williams and Liz Black were Honorable Mention All-SAC selections. Smith led the Bears with 35 goals and Frances Williams finished with 13 goals, three assists, 27 ground balls and 19 draw controls. Black caused 15 turnovers and had 18 ground balls.
