L-R Women’s Golf In 4th Place After Day One of Spring Opener

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Golf team opened the 2021 campaign at the Battle of Hilton Head Monday afternoon and sit in fourth place after day one. Individually, senior Megan Robb is in a three-way tie for 2nd place, just one shot off the leader Maeve Cummins of Carson-Newman.

There are 14 teams competing in this tournament including SAC opponents Carson-Newman, Tusculum, Catawba, Queens, and Lincoln Memorial.

After round one, Robb who led the field with 14 pars in her first tournament since being named a First Team All-Conference performer a season ago and also had a pair of top 10 finishes as a junior. Sophomore Katie Sibley also joins Robb in the top 10 finishing T-7th with a 78 (+6). Mackenzie Foyle and Patricia Asensio lead the team with two birdies apiece.

The Bears finished T-7th in last years Battle for Hilton Head.
