The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Cross Country Team wrapped up the 2020 schedule with a second-place showing at the Tom Scott Open on Friday afternoon. The Bears had two runners place in the top five at the event and three in the top 10.
Janet Kwambai took home a third-place finish for the Bears, finishing the 5.6k course in a time of 21:40. Finishing just two spots behind Kwambai was Caroline Hilliard who crossed the finish line in 22:19 to claim fifth place. Senior Kylie Dahlberg placed 10th overall with a time of 23:00 and was trailed by Adie Bjerkness who was 21 seconds behind and finished in 11th.
In total, LR placed eight runners among the 27 finishers at the event.
The Bears wrap up the shortened 2020 schedule and look to build for a more certain 2021 campaign.
