The Lenoir-Rhyne Track and Field teams competed in the Montreat Invitational Saturday afternoon.
On the women’s side, Caroline Hilliard started things off in the 10,000m run and finished 4th with a time of 37:56.81. Kimberley Owens then finished 12th in the long jump with a leap of 5.29m. Lacey Triplett then finished 4th in javelin throw with a 35.64m. Triplett and Pearl Ballard would also place 5th in pole vault with a jump of 2.95m. Maigan Bowman then continued the momentum finishing 6th in high jump with a 1.56m.
On the men’s side, Marvin Marsh finished 10th in the long jump with a final mark of 6.83m. Chris Reichenbach placed T-2nd in pole vault with a jump of 4.40m. Marsh would also finish 4th in triple jump with a mark of 13.99m. Valentin Voit also joined the the efforts for LR finishing 8th in high jump with a leap of 1.80m.
The Bears will be back in action April 1st at the Vertklasse Meeting.
