The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s and Women’s Track and Field competed at Gamecock Invitational Saturday evening. Jacob Wadsworth and Chandelor Stamp broke school records in the 400m hurdles and 800m race with times of 54.28 and 1:54.64.
On the women’s side, Kara Gavaghan placed 20th in the 400m dash with a time of 58.34. Taylor Meadows then placed 13th in the 800m run with a time of 2:19.60. Kylie Dahlberg then finished 4th in 1500m race with a time of 4:44.25. Laticia Venancio finished 18th in 100. hurdles with a time of 15.07.
On the men’s side, P.J. Lotharp and Royce Turner Jr. went back-to-back in the 100m dash in 14th and 15th with times of 10.88 and 1.96. The 4×100 relay team finished 2nd with a time of 40.70. The team was comprised of Lotharp, Turner Jr., Lucas Besong and Wadsworth. Trenton Davis also finished 23rd in the 200m dash with a time of 21.90,
