At the halfway point of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Swimming team remains in fourth place with 341 points.
On Friday evening, Kimberly Scheiber finished 8th in the 400 IM. Scheiber had a time of 4:32.70 for the championship heat.
Later in the evening, Scheiber joined Kiana Schumacher, Lisa Boenigen and Lauren Rutherford as the Bears finished fourth in the 400 yard relay. The team finished with a time of 3:56.95.
Two school records fell on day two of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship in Fort Mill for the Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Swimming squad. The Bears remain in 4th place with 366.5 points at the halfway point of the four day event.
First, Spencer Ashby broke the school record with a 50.13 time in the 100 fly in the consolation heat. Later in the night, the Bears 400 yard medley relay finished third and also broke the school record with a time of 3:19.73. The team consisted of Jacob Greene, Jacob Queen, John Ryan and Micah McRea.
McRea also finished third in the 400 IM with a 3:53.54. The time was good enough for an NCAA “B” cut time for the sophomore.
