In game one, after the Trojans scored in the second, the Bears answer back with a Talon LaClair bases-clearing double to give the Bears a 3-1 lead. The Bears held the lead until Anderson scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the 5th including a two-out, two-run double.
LR tied it in the 6th with a Kylee Leonhardt double then a Lauren Rakes single. The Bears added two more runs to take a 6-4 lead. Anderson got two singles to open the bottom of the 7th but Rakes got the next three hitters to wrap up the victory. Rakes threw the complete game with just one earned run and eight strikeouts on the day.
In game two, the contest was scoreless until the Trojans scratched a run in the bottom of the 5th. The Bears tied it at one when Leonhardt doubled home Kendall Osborne to draw LR even.
Anderson got the game-winning run with a homerun by Morgan Charter in the bottom half.
McKayla Watts took the lost allowing two runs (one earned) in her 5 1/3 innings. Watts falls to 2-3 on the year.
LR was only limited to the Leonhardt double in the game as Anderson’s Laken Maxwell got the win for the Trojans, while striking out nine.

Anderson came into the game with a 13-1 home record already this year while the Bears have only played four home games and have not played at home since February 20th. This contest is the start of an eight game stretch for the Bears in the next seven days with all eight games against SAC opponents.
