L-R Men’s Tennis Upset by Anderson in SAC Tournament

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Tennis team fell to Anderson 4-2 in the South Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals.

In doubles, Lenoir-Rhyne swept Anderson in doubles winning three-straight matches to secure the doubles point (1-0). Rhodri Atkinson/Josh Lazenby stayed undefeated on the season in double going 14-0 defeating Juan Cruz Moncado / Thomas Pudney 6-0. Mauricio Hernandez/Joel Hemmings then bested Adam Kush / Tommy Smalley 6-2.

In singles, Atkinson battled in a three set thriller but fell 6-3, 5-7, 4-6. The Trojans would win three straight matches in No. 2- No.5 singles to secure the win. Hemmings came out with the lone singles win a three-set fight 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

LR matches their most conference win in program history with eight which was set in 2018.
