The No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Lacrosse Team scored the first 11 goals of the game en route to an 18-6 win over Lincoln Memorial on Friday. The game was the penultimate home game of the regular season for LR.
Myles Moffat scored all five of his goals in the first 15:33 of the game to get the Bears off to a hot start. Toron Eccleston scored a pair of first quarter goals and tied Moffat’s five-goal output.
Eric Dickinson netted four goals and added a pair of assists in the win.
Five different players combined to go 25-of-26 in faceoffs. John Paulus (7-7), Noah Flasch (5-5), Macon Sumner (4-4) and Zach Bodeau (3-3) didn’t lose a single face off. Paulus and Sullivan each had a game-high six ground balls.
Lenoir-Rhyne held a 60-15 advantage in shots and 34-11 advantage in shots on goal. The Bears also dominated ground balls, winning 51 to LMU’s 17.
10 different players scored a goal in the game for LR. This is the fifth 10-win season in program history.
LR ties Wingate at 8-1 atop the SAC regular season standings. This is the sixth win by double-digits by LR this season.
Lenoir-Rhyne improves to 10-1 overall, 8-1 in the South Atlantic Conference. The Bears are back in action on Saturday when they host Mars Hill at 7 p.m.
