L-R Men’s Golf Finish Ninth at Irish Creek Invitational

Lenoir-Rhyne men’s golf finished 9th in the 15-team field at the Irish Creek Invitational at The Club at Irish Creek Golf Course in Kannapolis. The Bears shot 885 as a team, and finished just five shots out of 7th place. SAC foe Lincoln Memorial won the team title.

Sean Finan led the Bear effort with a Top-15 finish. He finished tied for 13th after shooting 215 (+2) in the three round tournament. After being one-over through the first two rounds, Jack Alward shot 79 on the final day and finished tied for 37th with a 222 (+9).

Liam Waldron tied for 45th after shooting 224 (+11), Sam Mace tied for 56th with a 226 (+13), and Jake Moore shot 243 (+30) to round out the Bear effort.

As an individual, Holt Allison shot even par (213), and finished tied for 8th in the individual competition.

The Bears are off next week as they gear up for the final competition of the fall season when they host the SAC Preview at Lake Hickory Country Club on October 24th and 25th.
