Kwambai Runs at NCAA Division 2 Cross Country Championships for Second Straight Year
For the second straight season, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Janet Kwambai ran at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Kwambai was off to a strong start but unfortunately was unable to finish.
After 600m, Kwambai sat in 57th place with a time of 1:51.6 and moved up one spot as her first mile was completed in 5:33.7. However, her second mile saw her drop from 56th to 81st before she was unable to finish.
A year ago, Kwambai earned All-American status at the National meet with a finish of 27th.
