Hickory Police Investigators have arrested and charged a suspect for the attempted murder of a 16-year-old male yesterday (May 4). Officers responded to a shooting at the 800 block of 1st Street S.E. just before 6 p.m. Thursday. There, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was flown to a Charlotte hospital where he remained in critical condition as of this afternoon.

Investigators identified a suspect. He is a 17-year-old juvenile male who was arrested today and charged with attempted murder.
