Interim Tag Removed From Taylorsville Police Chief, Millsaps Appointed To Position

The interim tag has been removed for Taylorsville Police Chief Michael Millsaps. On August 24, as WHKY previously reported, Millsaps was named Interim Chief following the retirement of Chief Douglas Bowman.

Following a work session by the Taylorsville Town Board, Interim Town Manager Aaron Wike issued a statement saying “It gives me great pleasure to announce that the interim status has been removed from Chief Michael Millsaps’ position effective today.”

The 55-year-old Alexander County native has been with the department for 15 years serving as School Resource Officer at Alexander Central High School.
