MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WHKY) — An Indian Trail man was jailed on felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Mooresville.

Anthony Reed Hanna Jr., 56, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, August 18, and charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle for the sale or use of narcotics and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said Deputy B. Von Letkemann stopped a white Ram pickup truck on Rolling Hill Road at approximately 2:47 p.m. The driver was identified as Hanna.

During the investigation, deputies reportedly found approximately 236 grams of marijuana, or slightly more than half a pound. Authorities also seized multiple items of drug paraphernalia that investigators said were consistent with the sale and distribution of narcotics.

Hanna was taken before a magistrate and issued a $50,000 secured bond. He was being held at the Iredell County Detention Center.
