Identity Of Man Killed In Stabbing Released

The name of the man killed in a stabbing in Catawba County has been released. The deceased is 51-year-old Kenneth Swint of Hiddenite. He was found by police with multiple stab wounds at a location in Conover Saturday (October 28).

43-year-old Kenny Raymond Walker of Daniel Street in Conover (pictured) was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with murder.

On Saturday at 1:00 p.m. deputies with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on Daniel Street in Conover. When officers arrived they discovered an adult male deceased from apparent stab wounds.

Deputies were directed to a neighboring residence where they found the suspect, Kenny Raymond Walker, and took him into custody without incident. Sheriff’s investigators learned this incident may have stemmed from a dispute between Walker and Swint.

Walker was being held without bond at the Catawba County Detention Facility. A first appearance was scheduled in District Court today (October 30).
