Hickory Public Schools (HPS) has announced the winners of the 2023 Annual Holiday Card Contest, a highly anticipated competition open to all students throughout the district. This year’s contest, judged by Hickory Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Jennifer Griffin, brought forth a remarkable display of creativity and festive spirit from talented students. This year’s contest theme was “The Holidays in Hickory.”
With an impressive number of submissions, the judging process proved to be a challenging yet rewarding experience. Dr. Griffin personally selected the winning designs, each embodying the unique artistic expression of our students. These chosen cards will now serve as the official holiday cards for Hickory Public Schools, spreading joy and warmth to all North Carolina school districts, local leaders, and elected officials within the community.
“We are thrilled to showcase the incredible artistic talent of our students through the Annual Holiday Card Contest,” stated Dr. Griffin. “Being personally involved in the judging process allowed me to witness firsthand the creativity and dedication our students put into their submissions. It is a pleasure to highlight their work as a symbol of holiday spirit and unity for our district.”
Hickory Public Schools extends heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and expresses appreciation to every participant for making this annual tradition a resounding success. The festive designs capture the essence of Hickory’s holiday season and reflect our school community’s vibrant spirit.
