Homeless Woman Arrested in Iredell on B&E and Larceny Charges
38-year-old Chelsea Rose Wilson, who is listed as a homeless person, has been arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers on two counts of felony breaking & entering and one count of felony larceny.
She was arrested yesterday (May 9) after Iredell County Road Patrol Deputies took a call regarding a break-in in progress at an address on James Farm Road, northeast of Statesville. While en route to the scene, Deputies were told that the suspect was still inside the residence. When Deputies arrived, they learned the female suspect had fled on foot after stealing multiple items from the residence.
A perimeter was quickly established and a K-9 unit was called to the scene. The dog, Levi, detected a scent trail and tracked the suspect for a quarter mile before locating the female. The suspect was identified as Chelsea Rose Wilson. She was taken into custody without further incident. In the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that Wilson had also broken into another house, which was still under construction.

Wilson was jailed the Iredell County Detention Center with bond set at $4,000, secured. She remained in jail as of this afternoon. No court dates in Iredell County are currently listed.
Wilson has a criminal history that includes D.W.I. Level 5 and misdemeanor counts of larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts), and resisting a public officer.
