51-year-old Randy Eugene Chapman, who is listed as a homeless person from Hickory, was arrested by Hickory Police at about 8:20 last night (December 30) on outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. He was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses and misdemeanor failure to appear on a count of domestic criminal trespass. Chapman was taken into custody without incident at a residence on 15th Street Drive N.E. in Hickory. He was jailed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under an $8,500 secured bond. He was scheduled to appear in District Court on January 20 & 26 in Newton.
