59-year-old Gary Lynn Johnson, who is listed as a homeless person from Hickory, was arrested by Hickory Police early this morning (December 21) for felony failure to appear on a charge of habitual larceny. Johnson was initially arrested on November 28 of this year in connection to a larceny from Walmart. He was taken into custody without incident just before 3 a.m. today on the 900 block of South Center Street in Hickory. Johnson was jailed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $30,000 secured bond. He’ll appear in District Court on January 4 in Newton.
