Homeless Hickory Man Charged with B&E, Larceny, More

35-year-old Chanda Keo, who is listed as a homeless person from Hickory, was arrested by Hickory Police on June 14 on felony counts of breaking & entering and larceny after breaking & entering. He was also charged with first-degree burglary and injury to real property.

Keo was taken into custody without incident at about at 9:35 p.m. in a residential area at 4th Avenue Drive N.W. and 10th Street Place N.W. in Hickory. According to H.P.D.’s arrest report, Keo was “heavily under the influence” at the time of his arrest and could not be fingerprinted. Keo was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where he was initially held without bond. Bond has since been set at $15,000. Keo remained in jail as of June 20. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled on June 18 with another court date coming up on July 9 in Newton.
