33-year-old Gary Benjamin Stamper of Highway 70-A in Hildebran was arrested by Hickory Police early Saturday morning (November 4) on a pair of outstanding felony warrants. He was taken into custody without incident shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday at a residential address on 14th Street S.E. in Hickory.

Stamper was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $10,000, secured. He was no longer listed as an inmate as of this afternoon (November 8). He’ll appear in District Court in Newton on March 12, 2024 on felony counts of breaking & entering and larceny after breaking & entering. Stamper also has a Superior Court date coming up on January 16, 2024 on a charge of larceny of motor vehicle parts.
