Hiddenite Man Facing Numerous Charges In Two Counties

44-year old Marty Joe Bryan of Hiddenite was arrested last Wednesday (November 16) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with possession of methamphetamine and resisting a public officer. Bryan is also charged with failure to appear on counts including felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of domestic criminal trespass, assault on a female, communicating threats and injury to personal property.

Bryan was previously charged in Alexander County with felony counts of flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, possession of schedule II controlled substance and probation violation. Bryan also faces multiple traffic charges filed in Alexander County.

Bryan faces multiple charges in Iredell County including simple assault, larceny by changing price tag, and a string of traffic offenses including hit & run, fail to stop with property damage, reckless driving with wanton disregard, and driving while license revoked.

Bryan was jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. District Court dates were scheduled in Alexander County for Monday (November 21), December 6, and January 9. A Superior Court date is set for November 28. In Iredell County, Bryan is scheduled to appear in District Court November 29, November 30, December 7, and January 18.
