Hickory Woman Jailed on Fugitive Warrant from Florida

39-year-old Jennifer Michelle Ikard of 17th Avenue N.E. in Hickory was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on March 17 on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. She is wanted by the Duval County Sheriff’s Office in Jacksonville, Florida for a probation violation.

Ikard is on probation following a conviction in July of 2013 for defrauding a financial institution and grand theft. According to documents provided by the Sheriff’s Office, she violated her probation by failing to make restitution of nearly $1,900 to the Vystar Credit Union.

The warrant for her arrest was issued in November of last year. Ikard has been arrested for extradition three times previously. A Judge in Florida has requested that she be held without bond, as stated in the November warrant.

Following her arrest on the 17th, Ikard was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond. An appearance in District Court was scheduled on March 18 in Newton.
