40-year-old Melea Dawn Gibbs of 7th Avenue S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police yesterday afternoon (November 2) on two felony counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, one felony count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gibbs was taken into custody without incident at about 3:20 p.m. Thursday at a business on South Center Street in Hickory. She was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where she is being held without bond. She remained in jail as of late this afternoon. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
