34-year-old Amberly Paige Martin of Finger Bridge Road in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police early Monday morning (March 6) on an outstanding warrant for a felony probation violation. She was also served with an order for arrest in connection to a 2019 felony charge for possession of methamphtamine and a misdemeanor drug recovery court violation. Martin is on probation as she serves an 18-month suspended sentence following a July 2022 felony conviction in Catawba County for possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Martin was taken into custody without incident at about 1:50 a.m. Monday at the intersection of 16th Street N.E. and 20th Avenue Court in N.E. in Hickory. She was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $50,000 secured bond. Martin remained in jail as of this afternoon. She was scheduled to appear in Superior Court yesterday (March 6) in Newton with another Superior Court date coming up on April 20.
