Hickory Woman Faces Long List of Failure to Appear Charges

54-year-old Mavis Yvette Clark of 26th Street Drive N.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police Sunday evening (October 15) on a long list of failure to appear charges. Clark reportedly failed to appear in court on charges of habitual larceny (two counts), habitual felon (three counts), felony possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also faces one new count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Clark was taken into custody without incident at 6 p.m. Sunday at an address on 11th Avenue S.E. in Hickory. She was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $53,003, secured. She remained in custody as of this afternoon (October 19). An appearance in District Court on the paraphernalia charge is coming up on November 29 with a Superior Court date scheduled for December 4 in Newton.
