Hickory Woman Charged with Larceny & Multiple Count of Failure to Appear
29-year-old Tyana Samantha Bowens of 1st Street S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police Sunday afternoon (July 10) on a felony larceny charge. She was also charged with failure to appear on two felony counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and failure to appear on one count each of possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bowens was taken into custody without incident at about 2:35 p.m. Sunday at a big-box store on Highway 70 S.E. in Hickory. She was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $13,000, secured. She remained in jail as of this afternoon (July 13). An appearance in District Court on the failure to appear charges is coming up on July 19 with a court date on the larceny charge scheduled for July 31 in Newton.
