Hickory Woman Charged With Heroin Trafficking

30-year-old Angel Elizabeth Gibbs of Finger Bridge Road in Hickory was arrested last Thursday (July 15) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear on a count of felony probation violation.

According to information released today (July 19), last Thursday, Investigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and Officers with North Carolina Probation and Parole conducted a search of a residence on Finger Bridge Road in Hickory. According to police reports, eight grams of heroin and items used as drug paraphernalia were seized.

Angel Gibbs, a resident of the Finger Bridge Road home, was arrested following the search. She was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $18,000 total secured bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today. District Court appearances are scheduled for August 3 and September 14.
