28-year-old Tyana Samantha Bowens of 1st Street SE in Hickory was arrested Saturday (February 4) by Hickory Police Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of controlled substance on prison or jail premises. Bowens is also charged with failure to appear on traffic violations including reckless driving to endanger, speeding, and driving while license revoked.

Bowens was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $9,000 bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today (February 7). District Court dates are scheduled for February 13, February 20, and February 27.
