Hickory Woman Charged With Drug Offenses

37-year-old Jamisue Darrelene Myers of 37th St. SW in Hickory was arrested Friday (February 16) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of controlled substance in prison or jail. Last Friday, a Public Safety Officer responded to Burke Mission Station on West Union Street in Morganton to assist  another officer with a narcotics call. The officer already at the scene was speaking with the suspect, Myers, who was in the driver’s seat of a white Ford truck. An employee with the Mission Station had asked Myers to leave the property.

Police reports show the seizure of .1 grams of meth during the investigation. Myers was incarcerated in the Burke County Jail under $10,500 secured bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled Monday (February 19).
