39-year-old Brandi Lee Floyd of White Eagle Ranch Road in Hickory was arrested today (October 6) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

According to published reports, a shooting occurred in the Mountain View community this morning. Officers reportedly responded to a residence and found a male victim who was airlifted to an area hospital. The published reports say a woman allegedly shot her boyfriend.

Floyd was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond. a District Court appearance is scheduled next Monday (October 9).
