Hickory Woman Arrested on Fugitive Warrant from Virginia

45-year-old Shavon Unique Douglas of 1st Street S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police yesterday (July 5) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. She is wanted by the Fredericksburg Police Department in Spotsylvania County, Virginia on a show cause order in connection with a previous conviction for grand larceny.

According to court documents, Douglas is required to appear in a Spotsylvania County courtroom to show cause why her suspended sentence should not be revoked due to the fact that she has failed to comply with the terms of her suspended sentence. The show cause order was issued in August of 2018.

Following her arrest yesterday, Douglas was given a $5,000 unsecured bond. She is not currently listed as an inmate in Catawba County. An appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
