45-year-old Conya Montgomery Bowens of 8th Avenue S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police yesterday morning (September 20) for felony failure to appear.

Bowens was taken into custody without incident just before 7 a.m. Wednesday at a hotel on Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard S.E in Hickory. She was transported to the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $50,000, secured. She has since been released. It’s not clear on which charges Bowens failed to appear in court, but she does have a Catawba County District Court date scheduled for October 11 on three felony counts of identity theft and three misdemeanor counts of financial card fraud.
