Hickory Public Schools To Require Masks

Hickory Public Schools To Require Masks

The Hickory Public Schools Board of Education unanimously voted Monday (August 9) to require masks of all students (Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade) and all staff for the start of the school year, 2021-2022.

Students and staff are required to wear masks inside all school facilities. All visitors who enter inside any school facilities must also wear masks. Each month, going forward, the HPS Board of Education will review with Catawba County Public Health the status of the community spread of COVID-19 or any variant of the virus.

Mask requirements will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
