36-year-old Raymond William Jones of Kingsport, Tennessee was arrested by Hickory Police Saturday (July 8) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. Jones is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office in Sullivan County, Tennessee for a felony probation violation. The original charges were for theft of $2,500 or more but less than $10,000, evading arrest, and driving with a revoked license.

Following his arrest, Jones was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $15,000, secured. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (July 10). Jones was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today in Newton.
