A Hickory man was placed into custody in Alexander County. On Friday (May 29) 22-year-old Kanye Lavance Alford-Bruce was detained on three counts of felony probation violation. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond and was scheduled to appear in District Court on Monday (June 1) in Taylorsville.

The suspect is serving a 60 month suspended sentence after being convicted in Alexander County. The conviction was on charges of felony larceny of larceny of motor vehicle and multiple counts of felony larceny of firearm.
