20-year-old Adolfo Salvador Millan-Vergel of 28th Street N.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police Saturday (April 1) on one felony count of indecent liberties with children. He was taken into custody without incident just after 7 p.m. Saturday at a residential address on Highland Avenue N.E. Millan-Vergel was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $30,000, secured. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (April 4). Millan-Vergel was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court yesterday with his next appearance coming up on April 24 in Newton.
